Permits and Right-of-Way Use

Overview

Public Works Maintenance Division is responsible for permitting and inspecting many activities in the Right-of-Way. These activities include Utility work (telecommunications, power, etc.), banner placement, sidewalk hazard identification, and notification and locating City infrastructure (811 Call Before You Dig program).

Our goal is to be able to manage the Right-of-Way in such a way that all activities are completed per city specifications, thereby protecting a very valuable asset as well ensuring the safety of the traveling public. Another benefit to this work is documenting activities for future reference for future projects.
