In accordance with Oregon law, the City of Eugene provides all eligible
employees paid and protected Oregon Sick Time (OST).
Regular Employees use their normal City-provided Sick Leave, Personal Time and/or Protected Leave (such as FMLA/OFLA) when coding OST-Qualifying time off work, but the law allows additional reasons for Regular Employees to use their leave accruals and in certain cases may “front” the payment from their leave banks.
